A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE YOU START
Your SitterPlan questions,
answered.
Plan together. Stay connected. Come home with a clearer picture of the evening.
How does SitterPlan work?
A household creates a sitting and its care plan, then invites a sitter. During the sitting, the shared timeline brings tasks, photos, and comments together. Afterward, the household can review the recap.
Does my sitter have to download the app?
No. Invited sitters can open their invitation in a browser on a phone or tablet. They sign in to their own account and follow the invitation steps. Household members can also create and edit sitting plans on the website. Initial household setup and the leaving review use the iPhone app.
Can we use a tablet at home?
Households can choose the home-device option in the app when a sitter does not have their own phone. The household prepares the device before handing it over.
Who can see our sitting updates?
Access depends on household membership, assignment, and the sitting’s sharing permissions. Parents can prepare the timeline before releasing it to the sitter. Treat photos and comments as information shared with authorized participants.
Can a professional caregiver track time?
Yes, when enabled by the household. Professional caregivers can clock in and out and review timesheets. Time tracking records care time; it does not process payroll or transfer payment.
Is the iPhone app available to everyone?
Not yet. We are preparing the beta. Join the early-access list for launch and testing updates. Joining the list does not guarantee a testing spot.
What happens after I join the early-access list?
We save your email, selected interest, optional city, and consent. You will receive a verification email for a new request. Confirm your address within 24 hours to join the verified list. To unsubscribe, use the withdrawal link in that email or contact support@sitterplan.com. Request a new link from the signup form after the old one expires.
Does SitterPlan replace emergency services?
No. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly. App notifications depend on connectivity and device settings and should not be your only emergency contact method.
